The Youth Services program primarily serves youth and young adults ages 9-24 who are in conflict with or at risk of entering the justice system. The purpose of this program is to guide and provide support to youth and young adults and their families through the justice system, explaining the process and importance of each hearing, outcome, or decision. The program acts as a resource and liaison between the justice system and minors for any appointments and actions that need to be taken. It aims to provide comprehensive youth development services, including mentoring, recreation, education, training, community service, or supervision in a safe environment so youth, particularly those most disadvantaged, can successfully transition to adulthood and live healthy and productive lives. This program also connects young adults to employment, educational, and training opportunities to put them on a path to live healthy, confident, and productive lives.

To achieve these outcomes, NLFA offers youth, young adults, and their families case management support services and referrals.
