NLFA provides a limited set of programs for adults and youth, and it effectively connects South Sudanese families with community resources that will enable them to live fulfilling “new lives” in a new society: the children to grow and develop in ways that make adults proud, and adults to eliminate barriers to their struggle to leave poverty and integrate into the society.    

Particularly important is linking adults into: (1) employment systems to increase their incomes and decrease their work hours, (2) legal systems, so they respond effectively to police and courts in juvenile and adult matters; (3) financial, health, dental, and education resources in the community.  For youth, linking them with youth-serving agencies that can help them effectively and successfully develop and take advantage of opportunities.
